Chocolate Almond Cake


200 gm Butter
150 gm Sugar
6 Eggs (separated)
125 gm Ground Almonds
175 gm Melted Chocolate


  1. Cream the butter and sugar.
  2. Add the egg yolks and ground almonds.
  3. Stir in the chocolate.
  4. Then gently fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes at 350° C then for 35 minutes at 325° C.


  • The best icing for this cake would be Chocolate Ganache, or Butter Cream Frosting
