Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

226 gm Butter (softened)
200 gm Sugar
1 Egg
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
375 gm All Purpose Flour
2 tsp Baking Powder

Method

  1. Pre heat oven to 350° F
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar.
  3. Gradually beat in the egg mixed with vanilla.
  4. Sift the flour and baking powder and mix well.
  5. Add the flour mix 1/2 cup at a time whilst still mixing the dough.
  6. Use a cooking gun and pipe the dough on a parchment paper covered cookie sheet 1/2 inch apart from each other.
  7. Bake for 8 minutes.

Notes:

  • Use the dough at room temperature.
  • The dough can be rolled but a cookie gun is the best option.
  • Sprinkle the tops of the cookies with colored sugar if desired.
