Chocolate Ganache


125 ml Cream
250 gm Chocolate (chopped)


  1. Bring the cream to the boil, Remove from the heat and add the chocolate.
  2. Stir until all the chocolate has dissolved.
  3. Allow to cool then refrigerate.


  • If using the ganache to coat a cake, then you do not need to let it cool.
  • Ganache is generally used to make chocolate truffles. It can also be used to cover cakes as a rich icing.
  • Covering a cake with it helps to keep certain cakes fresh as it prevents the cake from going stale.
  • When Ganache is at the right consistency, it can be piped using a piping bag for decorations.
